State & National News

Tesla's new "Magic Dock" is creating quite a buzz.

Tesla's Supercharger "Magic Docks" Open to All EVs The Biden Administration is cheering as Tesla opens its fast-charging network to other companies' electric cars. Biden wants 500,000 public chargers by 2030. For years, EV owners who bought competitors’ models looked longingly at Tesla’s robust and highly visible coast-to-coast Supercharger network. Though Electrify America (funded by the Volkswagen settlement), EVgo, ChargePoint, Blink and others have worked to create alternatives for the rest of the market, Tesla’s network was a powerful argument for the brand. That may be changing, as Tesla wil open up its network 7,500 Superchargers, to all EVs by the end of next year. Continue. We Plugged a Ford, a Hyundai, and a VW into Tesla’s Magic Dock Superchargers. Only Two Vehicles Charged Tesla’s new Magic Dock opens the Supercharger network to non-Tesla EVs, although there are still some kinks to work out. Continue.
