Every year, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) collects data from the 100 or so Clean Cities Coalitions nationwide and compiles an annual report along with DOE combining the information. NREL and DOE analyze the data and translate them into petroleum-use and greenhouse gas reduction impacts for individual coalitions and the program as a whole.
Lone Star Clean Fuels Alliance will be contacting you, our stakeholders, for information on your 2018 efforts to reduce petroleum consumption. Everything is important to us, as this is important to our area’s air quality efforts. LSCFA will begin collecting data in January regarding sales of alternative fuels, deployment of alternative fuel vehicles and hybrid electric vehicles, idle-reduction initiatives, fuel economy activities, and programs to reduce vehicle miles traveled.
Our data will then be combined with national data to produce the 2018 Transportation Technology Deployment Report. This report is a BIG deal to the US Department of Energy, and they are very strict about their deadlines.
Please help us submit our data on time by responding to our phone calls and emails.
